Optimizing Crowd Management at Railway Stations: A Systematic Approach
Overview
This project focuses on designing an efficient crowd management system for railway stations, aiming to enhance user experience and streamline passenger flow. The study includes extensive research on peak-hour congestion, ingress-egress systems, ticketing inefficiencies, and waiting area constraints. By integrating smart solutions such as luggage-tagging mechanisms, retractable seating, band-based entry systems, and optimized waiting spaces, the proposed design mitigates bottlenecks and improves station functionality. The project follows a structured design methodology involving user research, stakeholder mapping, concept development, and final implementation to ensure a seamless and efficient railway experience.
